About LawDecoded

I’m Amari Tappin, and I created this website because I saw how difficult it can be for people to understand the law and find clear legal information.

The most requested topics:

Miranda Rights

Miranda Rights are rules police must follow when someone is in custody and being questioned. They must communicate to a person they have the right to remain silent, the right to a lawyer, and that anything they say can be used in court. These protections are meant to prevent self incrimination and protect basic legal rights during questioning

Resisting Unlawful Arrest

Resisting arrest means trying to physically stop or interfere with a police arrest. In most U.S. states, it is illegal even if someone believes the arrest is unfair. The law requires people to comply during the arrest and challenge it later through the legal system instead of resisting

Worker’s Rights

Worker’s Rights are laws that protect employees on the job. They include fair pay, safe working conditions, limits on working hours, and protection from discrimination or retaliation. These rights are enforced through federal labor laws and the U.S. Department of Labor.

Parental Liability

Parental liability is when parents can be legally responsible for actions their child takes. This can include property damage or illegal behavior, especially if the parent was negligent or failed to supervise. Some state laws also require parents to pay for certain damages caused by minors.

Right to Resist Arrest

The right to resist arrest is very limited in the United States. Most states do not allow resistance during an arrest even if someone believes it is an unlawful arrest. Instead, it is required to comply during the arrest and then handling the issue later in court.
